NEW CEO LINDEGAARD RESTRUCTURES SAS
J'rgen Lindegaard, new president and chief executive officer of the SAS Group, on Tuesday announced a new structure and management organization for the airline, effective immediately.
SAS's functions will be incorporated into five areas: airline commercial, airline operations, affiliated airline business, non-airline business, and corporate functions and support services.
SAS has also adopted a six member group management team, comprising Lindegaard; Vagn S'rensen, executive vice president for airline commercial; Marie Ehrling, executive vice president for airline operations; Gunnar Reitan, executive vice president and chief financial officer; Bernhard Rikardsen, senior vice president for human resources; and Henry Stenson, senior vice president for communications.
Nine independent units will be linked to airline commercial and airline operations and these will jointly constitute the airline company, SAS said.
Ehrling will also be accountable manager for SAS Airline, and will have special responsibility for representing the group in Sweden. S'rensen will represent the group in Denmark and Reitan in Norway.
Areas of focus for strategic planning include corporate strategy, shareholder value, customer satisfaction, operational quality, brand and identity, people and knowledge management, and communications and public relations.
