NEW TRADE SOFTWARE PROVIDER TARGETS SMALL EXPORTERS, IMPORTERS
21st Global Research Institute, a software company based in Durham, N.C., said it has released it first global trade and supply chain software solution for small to mid-sized exporters and importers.
It is aimed at firms with revenues of less than $50 million. James Huddleston, founder of 21st Global Research Institute, said that small and mid-sized firms do not have enough staff skilled in international data content to develop their own trade software, and the existing software solutions provided by the large software houses are “very expensive to purchase or lease and the hidden cost of installation and support can be prohibitive.”
There are two versions of the company’s software, one for exporters and one for importers. The elements in the first release of the software are: price quotation (export); quotation analysis (import); product catalog; trading partner profiles; landed cost estimates and analysis; purchase orders or sales orders; sample management; documentary credits; routing guides; shipping and transport; customs processing; consignee delivery and reconciliation; claim management; and Internet portals.
