NEW WORLD ALLIANCE ADDS XIAMEN TO CEX SERVICE
From the start of January, the New World Alliance members APL, Hyundai Merchant Marine and MOL are adding calls at Xiamen to their weekly Asia/Europe China Europe Express service.
The vessel “APL Garnet” is scheduled to make the first call at the port on Jan. 5. The revised CEX service will feature a transit time of 22 days from Xiamen to Southampton with a port rotation of Southampton, Antwerp, Bremerhaven, Rotterdam, Aden, Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Xiamen, Yantian, Hong Kong, Singapore, Colombo, Southampton, Antwerp, Bremerhaven and Rotterdam.
The CEX service uses eight APL ships averaging 4,661 TEUs.
