Nippon Cargo Airlines, AirBridge Cargo to share freighter capacity
Nippon Cargo Airlines and AirBridge Cargo have signed an agreement to jointly market Boeing 747 freighter capacity on two weekly Japan/Russia/Europe services from the start of next year.
The flights will be operated from Nagoya in Japan and will route through AirBridge Cargo’s new hub in Krasnoyarsk, Russia.
Under the terms of the agreement, Nippon Cargo Airlines will act as AirBridge’s general sales agent in Japan.
AirBridge Cargo said it has appointed Katsuhiko Sagami as its director and area manager for Japan and Korea.
“Trade between Japan and Russia is poised for rapid expansion as the Russian economy grows and Japanese and Russian manufacturers increase their cooperation as a consequence,” added Stan Wraight, vice president of AirBridge Cargo.
