Nippon Cargo Airlines alters Boeing freighters order

Nippon Cargo Airlines, Japan’s only all-cargo air carrier, has replaced a previous order with Boeing for four 747-400SF (converted passenger to freighter) with an order for four new 747-400F cargo freighter planes.

The four 747-400F aircraft will be delivered between 2007 and 2008.

The airline said, “compared to the B747-400SF the B747-400F has improved fuel efficiency, an extended cruising range, cargo revenue capacity and higher maintenance efficiency.”
