NIT League ocean contracting seminar to be held March 21-22
The National Industrial Transportation League, in partnership with American Shipper and The Cameron Group, will hold a seminar about the negotiation and management trends in ocean shipping contracts at Anaheim, Calif., on March 21-22.
The seminar will cover troubling details of ocean contracts and ocean freight liability. In addition, there will be a session about the new field of non-vessel-operating common carrier service arrangements.
The seminar also offers shippers expert views on the advantages and disadvantages of outsourcing their ocean freight transportation and explores the necessary electronic technology to manage future service contracts.
Paul Anderson, commissioner of the U.S. Federal Maritime Commission, will give the keynote luncheon address.
“In my experience, there has never been a forum such as this to look at the endless possibilities for all parties to customize their service contracts,” said Peter Gatti, executive vice president of the NIT League.
For a complete agenda and registration, access the NIT League’s Web site at http://www.nitl.org. or call (703) 524-5011. The deadline for making hotel reservations at the discounted rate is March 11.
