Norasia changes name to CSAV NORASIA
Hong Kong-based Norasia Container Lines, a subsidiary of the Compania Sud Americana de Vapores group, has changed its name to CSAV NORASIA.
“The new name reflects the new spirit of our organization as we face the challenges of globalization. The name change is a commercially driven decision and business will continue as usual,” said CSAV NORASIA.
Rumors had been circulated that the company was going to be absorbed into its Chilean parent company CSAV, since its chief executive Vikas Khan resigned in July last year. Since then, Jamshed Safdar, Norasia’s head of marketing, left to join the Khan’s start-up ocean carrier Emirates Shipping Lines.
