Norasia joins China Shipping in Pacific link
Hong Kong-based Norasia Container Lines will join an Asia/West Coast of North America liner service operated by China Shipping Container Lines by the end of February, subject to U.S. Federal Maritime Commission approval.
Norasia expects to join the “AAC” service, which will change to a revised port rotation with additional calls at Seattle and Vancouver, British Columbia.
The “AAC” service uses five ships of around 3,800 TEUs and calls at Xiamen, Ningbo, Shanghai, Yantian, Busan, Long Beach, Xiamen, Ningbo, Shanghai, Yantian and Busan.
Norasia said the revised “AAC” service will call at Hong Kong; Yantian; Shanghai; Ningbo; Busan; Vancouver; Seattle; Wash.; Los Angeles; and back to Hong Kong.
Once Norasia has joined the “AAC” service, it will offer four services in the transpacific market, according to ComPairData, the global liner-shipping database.
