Norfolk Southern prepares for service delays in July
Norfolk Southern Corp. warned freight rail customers that construction could delay shipments transiting its Harrisburg, Pa., terminal by one to two days during the month of July.
The railroad said it will have to reroute traffic headed south from Buffalo, N.Y., Baltimore, York and Lancaster, Pa., and the Delmarva Peninsula through Allentown, Pa., and Bellevue, Ohio, instead of Hagerstown, Md. Local Harrisburg traffic will also be affected by the project at the Enola Yard.
