NORTH AMERICA/AUSTRALIA/NEW ZEALAND VSA DETAILS ANNOUNCED
Australia-New Zealand Direct Line, Columbus Line, Far Eastern Shipping Co. and P&O Nedlloyd will start two joint weekly service, PNW and PSW, under their vessel sharing agreement for the U.S. West Coast and Australia/New Zealand.
The PNW and PSW services will replace three services the carriers operated separately in the trade.
The “Columbus Ohio” will make the first scheduled sailing of the PNW service when it departs from Oakland on March 27.
The PNW will use eight vessels with an average 1,672-TEU capacity and will call Oakland, Seattle, Los Angeles, Auckland, Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, Suva (fortnightly), Papeete (fortnightly), Honolulu (monthly), Oakland, Seattle, Portland (fortnightly), Vancouver (fortnightly) and Los Angeles.
The first sailing of the PSW service will be made by the “Direct Kestrel” when it is scheduled to sail from Oakland on March 29.
Deploying seven ships, the PSW service will call at Oakland, Los Angeles, Tauranga, Melbourne, Sydney, Tauranga, Suva (fortnightly), Manzanillo, Mexico (fortnightly), Oakland and Los Angeles.
