Northcut picked as new AAEI president
The American Association of Exporters and Importers named former board member Hallock Northcut as its new president after a four-month search to replace John Simpson.
Northcut’s first official duty was to address the organization’s West Coast Conference, held in Manhattan Beach, Calif., Jan. 26-27, about the challenges facing the import/export community.

He brings legislative experience to the job, having worked as research director for former Rep. William Frenzel. He also represented 3M Co. on trade issues and served as general manager and director of government and public affairs at Matsushita North America.
