NOVOPOINT CHOOSES SYNCRA SYSTEMS

   Novopoint, a transaction and information hub that connects buyers and sellers of food and beverage ingredients, has selected Syncra Systems to provide collaborative planning, forecasting and replenishment (CPFR) and supplier-management inventory (SMI) solutions.

   Novopoint, based in Chicago, will integrate Syncra Xt, Syncra's electronic marketplace supply chain collaboration product, with Novopoint I-OPS, an Internet-based software platform that integrates food and beverage supplier and manufacturer supply chains and runs their mission-critical processes and applications.

   “Our goal is to have our pilot customers deploying CPFR with their trading partners through Syncra Xt in 30 days with full integration on Novopoint I-OPS and scaled development by this summer,” said Srini Nagabhirava, senior vice president of development at Novopoint.

   Novopoint will also be piloting Syncra's recently introduced solution for SMI and co-managed inventory (CMI).

   Syncra, based in Waltham, Mass., provides business-to-business supply-chain collaboration solutions.
