NYK FORMS IN-HOUSE AGENCY IN VANCOUVER
NKY Line said it has formed NYK Line (Western Canada) Inc., based in Vancouver, to provide full in-house agency services for its container operations in western Canada.
The container line will conclude its liner agency relationship with Greer Shipping Ltd, effective Aug. 1, but Greer will continue to provide full agency functions for NYK's tramper division.
'Working in conjunction with NYK's other group companies situated in North America, NYK will expand its logistics and megacarrier expertise to include western Canada,' said Kinihi Hirayama, chairman of NYK Line (North America).
