NYK joins two Europe/East Coast South America links
Tokyo-based Nippon Yusen Kaisha has joined two weekly container services in the Europe/East Coast of South America trade.
NYK is now a participant on the “Brazil Express” and “River Plate Express” services of Hamburg Sud and its subsidiary Alianca.
The “Brazil Express” service uses five ships of about 2,500 TEUs and calls Rotterdam, Hamburg, Antwerp, Le Havre, Recife, Paranagua, Itajai, Santos, Salvador and back to Rotterdam.
The “River Plate Express” operates with six ships at 2,200 TEUs and calls Southampton, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Antwerp, Le Havre, Sepetiba, Santos, Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Sao Francisco do Sul, Santos and back to Southampton.
CMA CGM and Hapag-Lloyd have space on both services.
