NYK opens representative office in Moscow
Japan’s Nippon Yusen Kaisha opened a representative office in Moscow May 15 to help increase the company’s business in Russia and the Ukraine.
Yukio Sakurai will head a team that will focus on the transportation of bulk energy, containers, cars, and in the field of logistics operations. The office will also try to build relations with government agencies and shipping companies, NYK said.
In June, NYK is establishing a Russian liner agency, NYK Line (RUS) OOO. In August 2004, NYK opened a Russian logistics subsidiary, OOO NYK Logistics (CIS), also located in Moscow.
