Old Dominion opens in Santa Maria, Flagstaff

Old Dominion Freight Line has opened new service centers in Flagstaff, Ariz., and Santa Maria, Calif., the company said this week.
The 20-door Santa Maria center is located near U.S. Route 101, an important north-south coastal link in California and will serve Santa Maria, Paso Robles, San Luis Obispo, Solvang, Buellton, Pismo Beach, Lompoc, Santa Margarita, Orcutt, Ballard and Los Osos. Old Dominion operates 14 service centers in the state.
“By being in the heart of the market, we can offer earlier deliveries and better respond to customers,” said Jeff Langan, terminal manager.
The less-than-truckload carrier also opened a new eight-door service center in Flagstaff to manage increased freight traffic in Northern Arizona, the Verde Valley and the White Mountains. Coverage area for the center includes Williams, Sedona, Cottonwood, Winslow, Holbrook, Show Low and Springerville. The company also maintains service centers in Phoenix and Tucson, among more than 215 service centers nationwide. – Eric Johnson
