OLDENDORFF CARRIERS COMPLETES TAKEOVER OF HOEGH LINER SERVICE
Oldendorff Carriers is completing the takeover of the liner services of H'egh Lines.
With effect from the scheduled call at Tampico on Jan. 26 of the “H'egh Miranda,” Oldendorff will assume the operations of the North America/Mediterranean/Indian subcontinent/Asia Indotrans service of H'egh Lines.
Oldendorff Carriers (Indotrans) Ltd. is a Cayman Islands-registered subsidiary of Oldendorff Carriers GmbH and Co. KG of Germany.
The formal transfer date of the main assets is March 5. The six vessels employed in the service range from 1,708 to ,800 TEUs and will be renamed.
The Indotrans service has a sailing frequency of 21 days and a port rotation of New Orleans La.; Tampico, Mexico; Freeport, Bahamas; Houston, Texas; Savannah, Ga.; Norfolk, Va.; New York, N.Y.; Halifax, Nova Scotia; Port Said; Jeddah; Nhava Sheva; Colombo; Singapore; Jakarta; Surabaya; Padang; Belawan; Colombo; Nhava Sheva; Halifax; New York; Norfolk; Savannah; New Orleans; Tampico; Freeport and Houston.
The transfer represents the end of H'egh’s involvement in liner shipping.
