Oldendorff, NSCSA swap space between India, North America
Oldendorff Carriers and the National Shipping Co. of Saudi Arabia will swap space westbound from Nhava Sheva in India to ports covered by both carriers on the U.S. East and Gulf coasts and East Coast of Canada.
Oldendorff Carriers’ monthly “Indotrans” service has used four multipurpose vessels with 1,800-TEU capacities, while NSCSA’s North American service operates four roll-on/roll-off vessels of 2,300-TEU capacities with a sailing frequency of 20 days.
According to ComPairData, the global liner-shipping database, the port rotation for Oldendorff’s “Indotrans” service is Norfolk, Va.; Savannah, Ga.; New Orleans, La.; Mobile, Ala.; Veracruz, Mexico; Houston; Freeport, Texas; New York; Saint John, New Brunswick; Jeddah; Nhava Sheva; Colombo; Singapore; Jakarta; Colombo; Nhava Sheva; Halifax, Nova Scotia; New York; Philadelphia; Norfolk; Savannah; Mobile; New Orleans; Veracruz; Freeport; and Houston.
NSCSA’s North American service calls Baltimore; Houston; New Orleans; Savannah; Wilmington, N.C.; Norfolk; New York; Halifax; Port Said, Jeddah; Dammam; Port Rashid; Karachi; Nhava Sheva; Jeddah; Leghorn; New York; Baltimore; Houston; New Orleans; Savannah; Wilmington; and Norfolk.
A spokesman for Oldendorff said the carriers would study enlarging the scope of the slot exchange cooperation agreement.
