OMI BUYS TWO TANKERS, SELLS ONE
OMI Corp., a New York-based tanker owner and operator, on Monday said it will buy two crude oil tankers built in 1993 from Osprey Maritime Limited for $21.8 million each.
In partial payment, Osprey will receive one million shares of OMI common stock, valued at $8 per share.
' In addition, OMI will sell a Suezmax tanker to an unidentified buyer during the third quarter of 2001, anticipating a gain of $18 million for the transaction.
