OOCL, CHINA SHIPPING IN JOINT CHINA/EAST ASIA/AUSTRALIA LINK
Orient Overseas Container Line and China Shipping Container Lines will start a joint China/East Asia/Australia service in the second week of May.
The “Australia China Express” will replace an existing service, called the “COZ” service.
Utilizing five container vessels with capacity of 2,500 TEUs each, the joint service will call at Shanghai, Chiwan, Hong Kong, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Kaohsiung, Hong Kong and Shanghai.
The OOCL/China Shipping group is in discussion with other lines and consortia in the trade for possible cooperation, OOCL said.
