OOCL CHRISTENS TWO 5,700-TEU SHIPS
Orient Overseas Container Line christened two 5,700-TEU vessels last week, the OOCL San Francisco and the OOCL Chicago.
The two ships were the largest ever built by China Shipbuilding Corp.
The vessels are 277 meters long, 66,670 deadweight tons, and have a service speed of 25 knots.
The OOCL San Francisco will be deployed in the Asia to Europe Express Eastbound service while the OOCL Chicago will be in the transpacific service, the Super Shuttle Express between the United States and Far East westbound.
