OOCL, TSK Line to merge Middle East services
OOCL and NYK’s intra-Asian subsidiary, Tokyo Senpaku Kaisha Ltd., will July start a joint weekly service connecting China and South East Asia to the Middle East, replacing both carriers independent services to the region.
The Middle East-Asia Express (MAX) will use five 5,000-TEU ships and will call: Shanghai; Ningbo; Hong Kong; Shekou; Singapore; Port Kelang; Jebel Ali, Dubai; Port Kelang; Singapore; Hong Kong; and back to Shanghai.
The vessel “OOCL Dubai” is scheduled to start the MAX service when it departs Shanghai July 11.
