OSG, SONAP change name of Stelcape joint venture
New York-based tanker shipping operator Overseas Shipholding Group (OSG) and Chile’s Sociedad Anonima de Navegacion Petrolera (SONAP) have changed the name of their jointly owned Caribbean and South American trades Panamax operator Stelcape Ltd. to Panamax International.
Stelcape was established in 2004 after OSG’s acquisition of Greek tanker shipping company Stelmar Shipping, and has a 14-strong double hull fleet with an average age of just over 12 years. OSG provides five of the ships and SONAP the other nine.
Globally, OSG owns and operates 90 U.S. and foreign-flag vessels that transport crude oil, petroleum products and drybulk commodities.
