OT AFRICA LINE APPOINTS SPANISH AGENT

   OT Africa Line, the West Africa shipping line, has named Isamar as its new Spanish agent, to strengthen its presence and operations in the Iberian Peninsula.

   Isamar, like OTAL, is part of the Bollore Group. Founded in 1993, Isamar has offices in Alicante, Barcelona, Bilbao, Madrid, Las Palmas, Seville, Tenerife, Valencia and Vigo. Isamar also acts as agents for OTAL in Portugal, where it has offices in Lisbon and Leixoes.

   'Spain has an important part to play in the global economy, and moreover its position as a major gateway from southern Europe to sub-Saharan Africa is an increasingly important one,' said Rachel Bennett, OTAL's marketing manager.

   Spain is a strong export partner for many western Africa countries, including Equatorial Guinea, Cameroon, Mauritania and the Gambia. It also serves as a Mediterranean transport hub, OTAL said.
