PANALPINA SELECTS IBM SOFTWARE
Panalpina has adopted IBM WebSphere to build a portal system for integrating external trading partner systems with its own internal software applications.
Global Freight Exchange, an Internet-based wholesale air freight exchange for carriers and forwarders, will be integrated into the portal system first. Internal and external applications will be added into the new platform via standardized Web interfaces.
