Panama Canal Authority to raise tug, line handling services rates
The Panama Canal Authority (ACP) said Friday it will increase its rates for tug and line handling services by 4 percent and 7 percent respectively, effective April 1.
“Rates for these services have not been increased since March 2004. However, increases in operating costs due primarily to sustained fuel hikes have impacted tugboat and line handling services, making it necessary to adjust rates,” the ACP said.
