PBB Global signs onto World Freight Alliance
PBB Global Logistics, a customs broker and freight forwarder with operations on the U.S./Canadian border, has joined the World Freight Alliance as a North American partner and sole Canadian representative.
The WFA, which was formed in December 2003, now has forwarder representatives in more than 200 countries. The network allows small to mid-sized forwarders to compete more efficiently in the global market with large multinational third-party logistics providers.
“It’s think global, act local,” said Mike Scott, president and chief executive officer of PBB Global. “You can have the standardization and cohesiveness of a multinational with the localized cultural and geopolitical knowledge of a domestic company.”
The move to join WFA represents a change for PBB Global, which has chosen to leave its previous network in favor of the WFA.
“The nature of global trade demands a fast-paced, progressive approach to shipping,” Scott said. “WFA offers a fresh approach, with companies that share the same vision of an integrated, seamless system.”
