PENSKE OPENS DISTRIBUTION CENTER IN TEXAS
Penske Logistics has opened a dedicated distribution center in Los Indios, Texas. The new facility will house consolidation operations for Delphi Delco Electronic Systems that were formerly provided in six locations in the U.S. Southwest.
In addition, Penske will provide dedicated carriage, as well as distribution center management to Delphi Delco manufacturing operations in Mexico. Delphi Delco said it chose Penske to reduce the time associated with border crossings, to increase production and to lower costs.
Penske also is building a facility adjacent to the new Los Indios center. The second facility will provide transportation and distribution center management services to Panasonic Automotive Electronics.
Penske Logistics is a wholly owned subsidiary of Penske Truck Leasing that provides service across North America. Penske Truck Leasing is based in Reading, Pa.
