PERISHABLES FORWARDER NETWORK TO MEET IN VIETNAM
An emerging international perishables freight forwarder network will hold
its second annual meeting in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, on April 8-13.
The Global Perishable Logistics Group was started in 1999 by John Warren,
managing director of WDM International (Australia). The group, which focuses
on temperature-controlled logistics, has members in 67 cities in 34
countries.
“As the network develops and a total cool chain is created for exporters
and importers around the world this will mean new and innovative services
which allow farm gate to supermarket shelf services and delivery,” the group
said.
The group said its conference will provide an opportunity for both
current and new members to develop their business relationships. It also
provides a basis for the launch of its 2003 marketing strategy and
presentation of special promotions arranged by the group.
