Pilot sees gains in Jacksonville
Pilot Freight Services said its Jacksonville station saw revenue increase 24 percent to $7.79 million in 2006.
The privately held transportation and logistics services company, which has its national headquarters in Lima, Pa., said shipments also improved 24 percent, to 11,964. The company handled 13.43 million pounds of freight in Jacksonville, up 26 percent.
Pilot has an 18,000-square-foot facility in Jacksonville, with key customers including U.S. Navy, the U.S. Marine Corps, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, various third-party logistics companies and Jacksonville-based manufacturing operations.
Nationally, Pilot said revenue for 2006 increased 14.2 percent to $62.4 million.
