PNTL VESSELS TO ARRIVE IN JAPAN BY LATE MARCH
With a load of recycled nuclear fuel, two Pacific Nuclear Transport Ltd. vessels, a carrier operation jointly owned by British Nuclear Fuels plc and COGEMA of France, will arrive in Japan in late March.
The heavily armed Pacific Pintail and Pacific Teal left Cherbourg, France on Friday evening, as previously reported in the AS+ Shippers NewsWire. The vessels are en route to Japan via the Cape of Good Hope.
The shipment of recycled nuclear materials, known as mixed oxide or MOX fuel, is destined to Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Plant operated by the Tokyo Electric Power Co.
