P&O NEDLLOYD PLACES $130-MILLION CONTAINER ORDER
P&O Nedlloyd has placed orders for $130 million worth of general purpose and refrigerated containers.
The shipping line has ordered 59,000 TEUs of general purpose containers, comprising a mix of 20-foot, 40-foot and 40-foot high-cube units, to be delivered starting in March. The orders were placed with China International Marine Containers Group Hong Kong, Jindo Corp. Korea and Hyundai Mobis Korea.
P&O Nedlloyd also ordered 3,000 40-foot high-cube refers from China International Marine Container Group Hong Kong. The reefers, which will be delivered in January and February, will be equipped with ThermoKing CRR-40 refrigeration systems.
