P&O NEDLLOYD TRIMS ASIA/AUSTRALIA/NEW ZEALAND SERVICE
Anglo-Dutch ocean carrier P&O Nedlloyd has streamlined its Southeast Asia/Australia/New Zealand NZAX NZ-Straits container service, reducing the number of vessels used from five to four.
Two fortnightly loops now each employ two vessels with an average capacity of 1,300-TEUs.
The port rotation for the first loop is Singapore, Brisbane, Auckland, Napier, Lyttelton, Tauranga and Singapore.
The second loop calls at Singapore, Auckland, Napier, Tauranga and back to Singapore.
Previously, a weekly five-ship service called at Port Kelang and New Plymouth. These direct calls have been ended.
Nippon Yusen Kaisha partners P&O Nedlloyd on both loops, supplying one ship on the loop calling at Brisbane.
