P&O OPENS NEWARK, N.J. TERMINAL
Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, christened the newly revamped Port Newark Container Terminal on Thursday in Port Newark, N.J.
Port Newark Container Terminal is a joint venture company of P&O Nedlloyd and P&O Ports, which signed a 30-year lease in 1999 with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey to operate the $175 million facility.
Since then, the terminal has been a working site through two phases of redevelopment. The third phase, which includes deepening berths, will be completed in June.
