PORSCHE PICKS BALTIMORE FOR IMPORTED VEHICLES AND PROCESSING
Porsche Cars of North America said it will begin to ship 12,000 autos through the Port of Baltimore, starting in April.
“With the coming of Porsche’s Cayenne SUV, we expect to double North American sales over the next three years,” said Martin Peters, a Porsche spokesman. “Shipping through Baltimore will help reduce our costs and better serve one of our major markets.”
Porsche signed the agreement with Amports, a Baltimore-based vehicle processor and subsidiary of Associated British Port in the United Kingdom.
