Port of Auckland sees 2% drop in container volumes
The port of Auckland in New Zealand reported a 2 percent decrease in container volumes for 2004 to 644,688 TEUs from 659,532 TEUs in 2003.
U.S. West Coast congestion 'adversely affected Ports of Auckland’s transshipment volumes in November and December by an estimated 1,000 TEU for each of those two months,” the port said.
