Port of Ningbo courts U.S. trade
A delegation from the Port of Ningbo has been promoting trade between the Chinese port and the United States by hosting trade symposiums on the East and West Coasts
Ningbo handled 5.2 million TEUs in 2005 making it the fourth largest container port in China, and 15th largest worldwide.
“Today there is so much growth and so much opportunity for development in China, particularly in the area of ports and transportation,” said Li Linghong, president of Ningbo Port Group Ltd. speaking on Wednesday at The Newark Club in New Jersey. “We need to share news from Ningbo with our associates in the United States.”
The delegation will host a similar event today at The Westin Hotel in Long Beach, Calif.
