Port of Tacoma picks Torres-Amigo to plan finances
The Port of Tacoma has hired Alvaro Torres-Amigo as director of financial planning, with responsibilities for financial analysis of the port's expansion projects and budgeting.
'The port is 'reshaping' finance and increasing our strategic planning function,' said Jeff Smith, senior director of finance and administration.
Before joining the port, Torres-Amigo was manager of finance and business analysis for the Port of Seattle's Sea-Tac International Airport. Prior to that, he was senior financial analyst for the Starbucks Coffee Co. in Seattle.
