Portland gets new port director

   U.S. Customs and Border Protection named David Ferguson port director in Portland, Oregon, where he will be in charge of enforcing customs laws dealing with immigrants and cargo at the Portland International Airport, the Port of Portland and smaller ports on the Columbia River.

   Ferguson, who took over the port of entry March 7, is a 13-year Customs veteran with experience in air cargo inspection, vessel entry and clearance, contraband enforcement teams, outbound enforcement teams and analysis units.
