Portland T-6 terminal turns to Tideworks
Tideworks Technology, a provider of terminal management and planning software, has deployed its gate operating system at Terminal 6 in the Port of Portland, the company said Wednesday.
T-6 is Portland's deep-draft container handling facility. The system allows the terminal's nine inbound lanes process truckers in a 'paperless' manner, with instructions for drivers displayed on screens at a kiosk.
'The deployment of GateVision greatly enhances gate processing efficiency by enabling T-6 staff to easily collect truck, container, and associated equipment data,' Chris Meyer, T-6 manager, said in a statement.
