Ports America names 3 VPs

Ports America has appointed three vice presidents: Donald Rupert, Steven Trombley and Peter Dunton.

   Rupert, vice president of sales and marketing, was regional marketing director of sales and marketing. He is based in the company’s Iselin, N.J., headquarters.

   Trombley has been appointed vice president of West Basin Container Terminal in Los Angeles, a joint venture between China Shipping Container Line, Yang Ming Line and Ports America. He joined Ports America this year from Norwegian Cruise Line where he served as director of port operations.

   Dunton, who had been general manager of WBCT, has been named vice president of container operations for Seaside Transportation Services Terminal in Los Angeles and Oakland, which is joint venture between Ports America and Evergreen, and for Pierce County Terminal in Tacoma. He began his 18-year maritime career with Marine Terminals Corp. in 1991. He will be based in Ports America’s San Pedro, Calif. office.
