PSA names Fock chairman
Singapore-based global terminal operator PSA International said today Fock Siew Wah will replace Stephen Lee as chairman, effective Nov. 1.
Fock is a board member of Temasek Holdings, the Singapore government-controlled parent company of PSA and Neptune Orient Lines. He is also chairman of Singapore Airlines Cargo and a director of Singapore Airlines. On top of all that, Fock serves as a special advisor to DBS Group Holdings, DBS Bank and Nuri Holdings.
“Mr. Fock joins the board at a defining moment in the container-shipping sector where the uncertainty of further industry consolidation and the challenge of significant ship overcapacity are imminent. We look forward to drawing on his diverse experience to guide PSA as it breaks new frontiers,” said Eddie Teh, group chief executive officer of PSA.
PSA operates 18 port projects in 11 countries across China, Europe, India, Korea, South East Asia and Japan. In 2004, PSA handled 33.11 million TEUs of containers worldwide
