Radiance kicks off with Florida/Mexico ro/ro service
Newly established Radiance Shipping Line will start a weekly roll-on/roll-off service between Port Manatee, Fla. and Progreso, Mexico on Jan. 3.
The vessel “Luz B” can carry 122 TEUs, including 51 reefer TEUs, and will call in Florida every Tuesday and Mexico every Friday. The voyage will be approximately 42 hours.
“Our research has shown there is a significant market for frequent, reliable ocean transportation in Mexico and Latin America. With a very experienced management team behind this effort we are confident that we can surpass the expectations of our customers in dealing with the many complexities associated with operating a vessel on a busy trade route,” Joao de Sa Nogueira, chief executive officer of Palmetto, Fla.-based Radiance, said in a statement.
Agesmart is Radiance’s agent in Mexico.
