Railroads to build intermodal terminal in Memphis
Canadian National Railway Co. and the intermodal arm of CSX Corp. said they reached agreement with the city of Memphis, Shelby County and the Memphis & Shelby Port Commission to develop a super-size railroad-truck intermodal facility.
CSX Corp. is the parent company of CSX Transportation, the largest rail operator on the East Coast.
The two companies said they would invest $25 million to create a 155-acre truck-rail transfer facility.
