Rappoport quits BIFA
Quentin Rappoport has resigned as director general (designate) of the British International Freight Association (BIFA), which represents companies in the United Kingdom engaged in the international movement of freight by all transport modes.
BIFA said Rappoport's departure was for 'personal reasons.' He was to replace Colin Beaumont, who has agreed to postpone his planned retirement and cover the director general position until a successor is found.
“Quentin’s departure may surprise some both within BIFA and outside the association, and we wish him well in the future,” said Doug Overett, BIFA national chairman.
In a separate development, Robert Keen, BIFA’s general manager of seven years, has joined the association’s board of directors.
