RFID maker to help companies evaluate tags
Avery Dennison, a manufacturer of radio frequency identification tags, said it will mentor companies seeking to meet mandates from retailers who want their shipments tracked with the technology starting in 2006.
The tag maker will make technical experts available to help retailers and goods suppliers who want to quickly develop RFID pilot projects, as well as original equipment manufacturers, systems integrators and label converters better evaluate tags on the market.
Participating companies will receive up to 10,000 free first or second generation RFID tags, Avery Dennison said.
