RICKMERS RAISES BUNKER RATES FROM EUROPE TO ASIA
Rickmers, the Hamburg-based provider of ocean transportation for project cargo and heavy lifts, said Monday it will increase bunker rates by $2.50 to $15 per freight ton on its routes from Europe to Southeast Asia, China, and the Far East.
The increase, effective Sept. 15, “has become necessary due to rising bunker costs,” Rickmers said in a statement.
