RoadOne IntermodaLogistics said it has acquired the New England regional intermodal transport services provider Jarvis Trans Inc.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
In addition to New England, Jarvis provides daily service to and from New York, New Jersey and Philadelphia to destinations throughout the Northeast.
David McLaughlin, chief operating officer of RoadOne, said the acquisition allows the company to incorporate Jarvis’ newer trucks, which are compliant with the federal government’s mandated electronic logging devices (ELDs). The inclusion of the Jarvis fleet will also boost RoadOne’s capacity in the Northeast.
Peter Lawless, president of Jarvis, and Eric Jones, the company’s chief operating officer, will continue to work for RoadOne.
