ROADWAY ADDS FREIGHT TERMINAL IN TOLUCA, MEXICO
Roadway Express opened a new freight terminal in Toluca, Mexico, marking the Akron, Ohio-based trucking company’s 18th terminal in the Mexican market.
“This new terminal is a freight transfer center that will improve operational efficiency and provide the needed capacity to serve this growing market,” said Bob Carr, vice president of international for Roadway.
Toluca is located 38 miles west of Mexico City. Its main industries are auto parts, plastics and electronics.
In addition to its terminals, Roadway’s Mexican subsidiary, Roadway Express S.A. de C.V., includes a fleet of trucks equipped with satellite tracking technology. The company also implemented its Border Ambassador Service, a bilinqual service that assists shippers with export documents, trouble shooting and full-service tracking notification.
