Rochford appointed to AIIS board
The American Institute for International Steel (AIIS) has elected Dennis Rochford to its board of directors.
Rochford, president of the Maritime Exchange for the Delaware River and Bay, organized the Free Trade in Steel Coalition, which, with its 90 industry and dock labor members, fought to repeal President Bush’s Section 201 steel tariffs last December.
AIIS, based in Washington, is a trade association dedicated to promoting economic growth through free trade and the preservation of unhampered access to world markets. The 14-year-old association provides forum where importers and exporters, producers, and buyers of steel can discuss political and technical concerns related to international trade.
